Richard Monti is a geologist with a successful career of over 30 years in the international mineral resource industry, resulting in broad industry knowledge and strong strategic planning capabilities. He has first-hand working knowledge of all aspects of the industry. He has worked in diverse countries with exposure to most commodities including base metals, nickel, iron ore, industrial materials, potash, gold.
Richard has over 30 director-years' experience on twelve ASX and TSX listed mining and exploration companies from micro-caps through to mid-size miners, and has built and managed teams of up to 70 personnel.
Richard is currently principal of Terracognita which supplies advice to resource industry companies. He has proven experience and understanding of equity capital markets, debt funding and has strong relationships with broking and banking houses in Australia and Canada.
Mr. Corr is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia and has specialised in the laws regulating companies and securities in Australia for over a decade.
Mr. Corr also has considerable legal and management experience with private, public and ASX listed companies, including companies in the natural resources industry with projects located in Australia, Ireland, Canada and various African countries.
Mr. Corr is a founding director and shareholder of ZMI.
Mr Barnes is a geologist with extensive experience in major exploration and development projects. Previously, he was Executive Vice President Dundee Precious Metals where he led exploration, project acquisition, and due diligence with a strong focus on Balkan mining & development.
He founded and led Resource Service Group for nearly two decades, which ultimately became RSG Global and has since been sold to Coffey Mining.
Peter van der Borgh
Peter van der Borgh has more than 30 years’ world-wide experience in the mining industry, as a geologist, Executive, and Non-Executive with several exploration companies.
He founded ASX-listed Cortona Resources Limited and Globe Uranium Limited, and was instrumental in the discovery of the Kanyika niobium deposit in Malawi. As Managing Director of Cortona, Peter orchestrated the acquisition and development of the Dargues Reef gold project, overseeing exploration, resource/reserve definition, mining studies, feasibility studies, environmental assessments, community consultation, government liaison and the mining approvals process. Dargues Reef became the first gold mine in more than 10 years to receive planning permission in NSW. Peter managed the successful merger of Cortona with Unity Mining in 2012/13.
Peter currently resides in the UK, where he is well positioned to manage ZMI’s Irish projects.
Thomas Corr has over 10 years’ experience in the finance and resources sectors in both Australia and Europe. He was a founder of Zinc Mines of Ireland Limited (which was acquired by the Company in July 2016). Mr Corr was instrumental in the acquisition of the Company’s Kildare MVT Project and its other projects.
Mr Corr resides in Ireland and has significant experience with Irish projects and Australian and European capital markets.
